Todays images are of the Japanese Garden in the Clingendael Estate The Hague.The Japanese Garden is located in the Clingendael country estate a tranquil park and garden just ten minutes from the centre of The Hague.The Japanese Garden was created by the former owner of the Clingendael country estate Marguerite M. Baronesse van Brienen, also known as Lady Daisy at the start of the twentieth century.The Municipality of The Hague has always taken great care of the Japanese Garden because of its uniqueness and tremendous historical value. The garden was placed on the list of national historical monuments in 2001. Due to its fragility, the garden can be visited only during a short period of the year, six weeks in late spring and two weeks in the autumn.
